Acne care for those that suffer with this condition is a
very serious proposition. Although acne is one situation that
can be improved and fairly quickly depending on the severity
of it, there are ways which can speed the process along.
Mild to moderate acne usually responds to over-the-counter
remedies when the instructions are followed exactly. Many
times, these non-prescription remedies totally clear up your
acne condition without having to see a physician or dermatologist.
For acne care in severe cases, seeing a doctor may be the
only recourse. The quicker you seek medical help, the faster
you will be able to stop the spread of this condition. Also,
do not get discouraged. Many times you will not see any improvement
for at least a month, which is why you shouldn’t wait
if your acne continues to get worse.
There are two kinds of acne care: topical (applied to the
skin) and internal (taking substances to help alleviate the
condition from the inside out). Obviously, there are many
products which you can use and experiment with to find the
best one for you and your acne
skin care regimen. That’s for your outside. For
your inside, you need to do a few things that can help your
acne as well as your health.
Diet plays a big part of your overall internal and skin health.
Eating improper foods (those which have an excess of fats,
starches and sugars should try to be avoided. Also, make sure
you eat foods rich and fiber such as whole grains and fruits
and vegetables. It’s now been proven that having a sluggish
bowel combined with constipation can be a leading cause of
acne caused by internal conditions.
Just as important as the food you eat is what you drink and
the habits you’ve acquired. To complete your total acne
care, you should eliminate or limit your alcohol consumption.
Also, do not drink tap water, sodas or caffeinated beverages.
Then, if you get at least 8 hours of sleep at night and some
exercise to bring oxygen into your bloodstream, you are on
your way to getting rid of that acne situation instead of
having to treat acne.
Generally speaking, there are several factors which are connected
to the acne breakouts which you are experiencing and should
be considered in your acne skin care regimen. They are:
1. Diet and lifestyle
2. Hormones
3. Oily sebaceous glands
4. Clogged pores
5. Picking blemishes
6. Use of steroids
7. Birth control pills and certain other medications
