Acne problems; they are everywhere. Over 85% of men and women
will, at some point in their lives, deal with acne issues.
But how do you get acne free? Can that really happen?
When you have an acne flare-up, all you really want is something
that will work fast and be effective. Mostly everything on
the market doesn’t do what it says it should do. So
what can those of you that suffer do to remain acne free?
The answers, those they are simple, are truly the best way
to fight and eventually alleviate your acne condition.
In order to combat anything, you have to know what is the
cause and where did it begin. Just like we get bacterial infections
in other areas of our body such as strep throat, bronchitis
and so on, acne is a bacterial infection of the skin. Once
you realize that, you will have a much better understanding
of what you have to do to be acne free.
The primary focus in combating this problem is to keep your
face and/or body areas which are affected clean. I know this
sounds primitive and too easy, but it’s not. Washing
your affected areas correctly is of primary importance.
Before you even begin to wash your face, you must wash your
hands thoroughly. Our hands are a very large carrier of bacteria.
We touch everything. When we have to enter a room, we touch
a doorknob. We read the newspaper and our postal mail. All
day long our hands are in contact with germ infested areas.
Realizing that, to become acne free, you must wash your hands
before you even go anywhere near washing your face.
Number one: Wash your face with a mild yet effective acne
cleanser, face wash or soap. Do not use an exfoliating substance.
That will only serve to further irritate your face and/or
affected areas of your body.
Number two: Find a topical treatment which is perfect for
your skin type and you have found good reviews concerning
that particular product. Be careful that you do not use a
substance which can dry out the skin much beyond what is normal
for these types of products. When you have a substance which
works really well but dries out your skin leaving it looking
worse than previously, then use it as a spot treatment.
Number three: Read reviews and ask those that you know and
also suffer with acne, what moisturizer they use. This is
the last step to your regimen to stay acne free, but it still
is very important. The last thing you want is to use a product
which dries out your skin leaving it looking red and scaly
and then not having an effective moisturizer to thwart the
effects of it. This makes your acne
problem even worse.
If the above plan is followed, it’s very likely that
you will become acne free. The key to any acne regimen is
consistency. If you set a plan and follow it according to
the above guidelines, you will gain control over your acne
situation. |
