Years ago, before there were sophisticated acne cleansers,
soaps, washes and so on, if you had acne, you would speak
to those around you to find an acne home remedy. In this day
and age, we tent to dismiss this too quickly. Much of the
advice was given because it was proven to work by those that
had no other choice but finding an acne remedy that works.
These should not be replaced by common sense and medications
that are known to work, but they can be added to a regimen
which is effective for you. Also, to be added to this list
for an acne home remedy is to make sure you eat lots of fruits
and vegetables, drink plenty of highly mineralized water (for
example, Fiji) and try to eliminate stress factors in your
life.
1. Corn starch mixed with water into a paste and applied
to blemishes before going to sleep works wonders on drying
up and reducing inflammation. It’s on the top of our
list for a great acne home remedy.
2. Toothpaste will also reduce inflammation and swelling.
Apply it onto the blemish before going to sleep.
3. Lemon juice has been known to be an effective acne home
remedy for years. Just apply the juice with a cotton swab,
let it dry, and then apply your normal medication you use.
4. Aloe Vera has been known to be a cure all for so many ailments.
To use it as an acne home remedy, use pure juice and apply
it to the blemish. Although this works well, the best way
to use aloe is to buy a plant and slice one of the leaves
and use the substance which flows out of the leave. This pure
aloe can be used for acne, eczema and psoriasis.
5. Ice applied to individual pimples reduces inflammation
and stops them from coming to a head. This acne home remedy
also is amazing in reducing swelling.
6. Washing every time you remember with an anti-acne cleanser
is probably the best acne home remedy. This is overlooked
and is the basis of your regimen to rid yourself of your blemishes.
7. Benzoyl Peroxide dabbed on individual pimples will dry
them up within days. Many products contain benzoyl peroxide,
but using it in its pure state works wonders.
8. Herbal teas are amazing as an acne home remedy. Many health
food stores have medicinal teas which can be very useful as
an acne home remedy. Also, some of these teas are perfect
for use dabbed on blemishes. Check with your local health
store for what they have and how herbal teas can help.
Acne existed before acne medicine even came on the market.
Therefore there are many products that can be used as an acne
home remedy that are right in your own home already. Also,
using these remedies usually are much more healthy and natural
and do not have side effects.
